Snowy Cascades

On Feb 3rd, I along with my friend hiked the Cascades. The experience was completely different than other times when we hiked it. Mainly because, mostly everything was frozen and it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. The trees had bunch of snow on the leaves, the lake was frozen and icy, the trail was all covered in snow. Everything around there was white and pure. The temperature was below freezing but the hike was immensely beautiful and it looked like a winter wonderland.

   My name is Smriti Kandel. I am a senior doing Mechanical Engineering here at Tech. I am taking this class because I want to learn about topics such as climate change, different topography, and everything related to nature. During my free time I like to hike, chill with friends and travel. Fun fact about me, I am from Nepal where the world's tallest mountain is :)
